Fall/Winter Guide 2018


Office Hours:  Monday-Friday 8 am- 4 pm

Shelbyville Parks Dept. Winter Camp.  December 26, 27, 28 and January 2, 3, 4.  Cost is $100 per child, (there will be a $10 discount for more than one child). Drop off 7a-9a, pick up by 5:30 p.m., Ages 6-12 years old.  Games, theme days, crafts, playing in the snow, movies and more.  Let us help you out while the kids are on winter break!  No need to stay at home the Parks Department will have many different fun activities for the kids to keep them busy!  If the weather permits, sledding could be in that plan!  YAY!  Each child needs to bring a lunch.  Pre-registered is required, call to reserve your spot today @ 317-392-5128.


  Cookies and Canvas, December 1st at the Shelbyville Parks Department, 945 S. Tompkins Street.  Kindergarten thru 2nd grade 9:00am-11:00am, 3rd grade to 5th grade 12:00pm-2:00pm. Cost is $20 per child and this includes paints and canvasWe will be serving cookies and hot chocolate.  Please pre-register at the Parks office because space is limited.  

Gingerbread House Creation, Sunday, December 9th at the Shelbyville Parks Department at 945 S. Tompkins Street at 2:00 p.m..  The cost is $12 per house, be sure and pre-register because there is limited space.  So come and let the creativity begin, have a fun time and make holiday memories with the family.

Breakfast With Santa, Saturday, December 15th at the Shelbyville Parks Department, tickets are $6.00 per person, tickets may be purchased at the Parks Department office at 945 S. Tompkins Street.  There will be 2 servings, the first is at 8:30 a.m. and the second is at 9:30 a.m.  Breakfast is catered by Denny's.  We will transform our gym into a Winter Wonderland, and we will have a small Santa shop for your last minute unique handmade gifts and children can participate in a holiday craft.  BRING YOUR OWN CAMERA TO CAPTURE THE MOMENT!!!

Blue River Memorial Park

Music in the Park is proud to announce Hard Days Night:  A Tribute to the Beatles, will be playing on Saturday, September 15th at Blue River Memorial Park.  This will be our Dinner Under the Stars too, Melvin Pierce will be cooking the delicious meal, tickets will go on sale end of July, first of August, please contact the Parks Department for further details, reserved seating tickets are $30.00 and regular tickets are $20.00.  We will also have beer and wine to purchase the night of the show.  So please some and enjoy the sounds of the Beatles.
