Kennedy Park is located at 200 Minister Drive and is approximately 10 acres. Fred Kennedy purchased this park for the city in 1929. Amenities at this park include a shelter, restrooms, a lighted softball field, parking, a basketball court, two tennis courts, a playground and a walking bridge over Little Blue River. Big hardwood trees accompany a quiet picnic area.
In 2008 Kennedy Park opened a new playground named KID CONNECTION, which provides a universally accessible play area for children of all abilities and ages. (please click link for more details).
