Shelby County Girls Softball – Fastpitch (SCGS)

Girls Ages: 4 – 6 (t-ball)
Girls Ages: 7 - 16
Child must be 4 years old by Dec. 31, 2011 and not 16 years old before
Jan. 1, 2012 to be eligible to play
Shelby County Girls Softball is a Shelbyville Parks sponsored program that is ran by a volunteer board of directors. SCGS not only provides the opportunity for girls to learn the sport of fast-pitch softball, but also to make lasting friendships. SCGS strives to provide a qualified staff, dedicated to teaching fundamentals, developing skills, promoting sportsmanship, and building self-esteem.
The recreational league starts practices in April with opening day of games the first Saturday in May. Teams play a 10 game season. Travel tryouts will be held in April for the Shelby County Storm teams in the 8U, 10U, and 12U divisions.
