The Carl McNeely Civic Center is home to the Shelbyville Parks & Recreation office. It is also home to our Preschool and includes the historic Paul Cross Gymnasium, a banquet room, and activity room that can be rented when available.
Contact the Parks office for availability at 317-392-5128. All rentals must have a completed Agreement (see below) and payment in full to reserve.

Civic Center Rules and Regulations
- Tables and chairs will be set up and is included with rental price
- No smoking, smokeless tobacco or alcohol allowed on property.
- Accessible facility & restrooms
No reservations can be made for the following dates:
New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day (if Christmas Eve and Day fall on a weekend, days given by the city for those two days are included)
Banquet Room-$60/hour
This room is great for birthday parties, anniversaries, bridal showers, business meetings and reunions.
It has a capacity for 116 people and can provide seating for 96.
72″ Round Tables are used for seating. Rectangle tables for gifts, food, etc are also available with rental.

Also known as the Blue Room, this room is great for birthday parties, baby showers, graduations or other gatherings.
It has a capacity for 149 people and can provide seating for 84.
