Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter Front Office Temporarily Closed for Renovations
Shelbyville, IN – The Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter’s front office will be temporarily closed for the business day on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, as crews complete painting renovations. The closure is necessary to ensure the safety of both visitors and staff while painters work on scaffolding in the front office area.
While in-person services will not be available during this time, all other shelter operations will continue as normal. Community members, volunteers, and prospective adopters can still contact the shelter by phone at 317-392-5127 for assistance.
The front office is scheduled to reopen on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, resuming normal business hours 8:00a-4:00p.
“We appreciate the community’s patience as we make these necessary updates to improve our facility,” said Billy Leffler, Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter Director. “Our staff remains available to assist by phone, and we look forward to welcoming visitors back in person soon.”
