Community Engagement

The Shelbyville Fire Department’s Public Education Program offers age-appropriate classes for students from Pre-K through 5th grade, designed to build fire safety knowledge each year. For middle and high school students, we provide engaging presentations on "A Day in the Life of a Firefighter."

Additionally, the department offers guided tours of our fire stations, featuring discussions on the daily responsibilities of Shelbyville firefighters and important fire safety topics.

    Request for Special Events must be made a minimum of 72 hours before start of Event. Requests made less than 72 hours notice is subject to availability and must be requested by emailing Roman Scott, Public Education Officer, at rscott@cityofshelbyvillein.com.
