Welcome to Blue River Run Dog Park, a dedicated space for your canine companions to run, play, and socialize in a safe and secure environment. Located within Shelbyville’s extensive parks and recreation system, this dog park offers amenities and policies designed to ensure an enjoyable experience for all members and their pets. 

Blue River Run hours are from dawn to dusk—not to exceed 6:00am-10:00pm, 365 days per year. The Shelbyville Parks and Recreation Department, however, reserves the right to close Blue River Run at any time for maintenance or for any other reason deemed appropriate by the Shelbyville Parks and Recreation Department.

Membership Information

First-Time Memberships

1. Complete the online application and upload a copy of your dog's current vaccination records: Blue River Run Dog Park Membership Form.
   • Pick up your gate access key fob and pay at the Carl McNeely Civic Center ($30 for the first dog, $20 for each additional dog).
   • Note: Payment can be made by cash or card.

Renewal Memberships

Once you have a membership, you may renew it online with our Online Registration.

Note: Renewals will be required to drop off or mail a copy of current vaccinations to Carl McNeely Civic Center . Online renewals will not update your fob until the next business day

Additional Fees

• Replacement gate access key fobs: $15.
• Replacement dog tags: $10.
• Note: Only one gate access fob is allowed per household.

All members must adhere to the park rules and regulations, which can be reviewed on the application form. Compliance ensures the safety and enjoyment of all visitors.
